A boy and his cabbage

Last spring school gave my son a cabbage seedling as part of the 3rd grade Bonnie cabbage program. It’s a fun program to help interest kids in gardening and the outdoors. After caring for and growing the cabbage, students send a photo of their vegetable at harvest and one winner in each state is selected to receive a $1,000 scholarship award.

While we have no doubt our cabbage will pale in size to many mutant behemoths[1], we are betting on humor to influence judging in our favor.
