These kids were tough to crack. They were shy and quiet when I arrived and for much of the photoshoot. They seemed impervious to my usual ice-breaking make a "goofy face" photo directions and other tricks; remaining stoically forbearing of the nutjob with the camera.
We shuffled from spot to spot around the house while I kept up a rambling chatter with them about – well, I don't actually remember what, but eventually they warmed to me, or at least tolerated me.
When the smiles started to appear though they came aplenty lighting up their faces.
